Christopher Boring

"As I walk through the fields of my grandparents' land and listen to the breeze, I remember the moments with family and friends. The picnics, wood cutting, sled riding, gardening and other moments that have passed."

 

This series connects me to my memories with loved ones and the grief I have felt when I've lost loved ones. As I paint the images of wood, I focus each paint stroke with the moments spent with them in my life. The act of painting each work allows me to embrace the pain of losing them but also helps me to celebrate their impact on my life.
